A double glossy card, 300 gram. On one side in red letters ‘Deal with me’. On the other side a picture of a hostess near the statue of Heronimus Bosch. She’s dealing. The hostess is an artist – readable by the palette and brush – but the art climate in ‘s-Hertogenbosch doesn’t satisfact her. She’s leaving and is selling her work. Heronimus Bosch as an icon of the absent art in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. All what’s left are copies and a statue of where the pedestal is more well-known than the bronze portrait itself. In her namelessness, the hostess stands for art as a whole. A strange world. Always surrounded by glamour and shady actions.
The same hostess presented on februari 10th 2006 this card on the official opening of the Art Centre with the side ‘Deal with me’ towards every visitor. Turning around the card, the same hostess finds oneself on a total different location. The friendly protocol transforms into an indivual. A new art initiative, new chances? A last attempt; ‘Deal with me’.

Een dubbelzijdige hoogglans kaart, 300 grams. Op de ene zijde in rode letters ‘Deal with me’. Op de andere zijde een foto van de Hostess bij het standbeeld van Jeroen Bosch. Ze is aan het handelen. De Hostess is beeldend kunstenaar – afleesbaar aan palet en penseel – maar het kunstklimaat in ‘s-Hertogenbosch bevalt haar niet. Ze gaat weg en verkoopt haar werk. Jeroen Bosch als icoon van de afwezige kunst in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Al wat rest zijn kopieen en een standbeeld waarvan de sokkel bekender is dan het bronzen portret. De hostess staat in haar anonimiteit ook voor de kunst als geheel. Een vreemde wereld. Altijd omgeven met glamour en duistere praktijken.
Dezelfde hostess overhandigde op 10 februari bij de entree van de serre van de Verkadefabriek in ‘s-Hertogenbosch de bezoekers van de officiele opening van het CBK de kaart met de zijde ‘Deal with me’ naar boven. Bij het omdraaien van de kaart bevindt dezelfde hostess zich op een geheel andere locatie. Het vriendelijke protocol transformeert naar een individu. Een nieuw kunstinitiatief, nieuwe kansen? Een laatste poging; ‘Deal with me’.
