In the depot of an artist-run centre I discovered in 2011 the ellipse that I had left there in 2000. Looking back it was my first ellipse. It was the residue of an object that I had manufactured for a performance. At that time I thought my life as an artist would become easier by the years, more clear, but instead it has only became more complicated. The ellipse, a simple familiar shape, is charged with various meanings over time. It has become an important figure, we share a commitment.
